Hints
for getting
Criminal & Eviction Reports
(Currently under construction)
Hint
#1: To get reports you will need your
account number and password. Criminal Records and
Eviction Searches are available 24/7/365
Hint
#2: After logging in you will need to check the
box acknowledging the information and disclaimer.
It's required.
Hint
#3: Insert the First and Last name of the
individual, do not use an middle initial. Spelling
is critical.
Hint
#4: Below the name fields you will notice
the three choices of Searches to Perform.
1.) Public Records are Unlawful
Detainer filings (Eviction Records,
$4.00 on line) for the State of
Washington.
2.) Criminal Searches are
statewide searches for the state/s you select.
Search as many states as you want for $10.
3.) Prior Records
Searches (free on line) will tell you if Rental Research
has ever processed a report on this individual. If a
report was done within 30 days and you have a signed
application, the
report will be provided to you at no cost upon request.
Hint
#5: When doing a criminal records search
you select the states you want to search by holding down
the control key and left mouse clicking. If the
person has a very common name like James Smith you will
get a lot of responses. Look at the rental
application and credit file to see what states they've lived in.
Hint
#6: When
you get a "Hit" on a name you must identify
that person. Criminal Records will give you
the date of birth, middle name, and a physical
description. Eviction Records are name match only. Prior Reports require that you have the
Social Security Number.
Remember,
if you have any questions just call us (800-654-4936).
Thank
You.
